Hello! I hope you all are doing well and had a good Spring Break. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately…..

Daniel and I got to go on a wonderful vacation to Cancun with my family last week. We did not miss the cold weather one bit! It was very relaxing, and we took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in, relax, enjoy room service, relax some more, and have some fun!

They guys went golfing (david and thomas below):

LOVED this hammock:

Mayan Ruins- so amazing!

The kids had a vacation of their own at Grandma and Grandpa Linhart’s house (and aunt Kelsey was there, too). Every time we called them, they would give us a quick, “Hi Mommy! Hi Daddy! ……OK, bye!” They went to the zoo, the park, the library, and had a blast.

The kids are changing so much! Little Miss Ellie is talking up a storm now, even in sentences, and she can even count to 5! There is so much personality in that petite little body of hers!

She wants to do everything big brother is doing and doesn’t mind getting hurt in the process! She is lots of fun, and we love hearing her little voice as she tries to communicate with us…most of the time we understand what she’s saying :) She has recently become interested in the potty, and especially loves the toilet paper:

She loves preschool. Every once in a while we will get an “ouchie” report from them- we have found that she’s pretty clumsy! Here is the latest one…haha:

"Type of Report: Ouchy

What Happened: She was walking and tripped on her own feet, and hit her lip on the floor really hard. It started to bleed, so we believe she bit her lower lip when she fell. We got her a wet cloth and gave her lots of loving."

Later the SAME day....

"Ellie later fell and tripped and hit her left cheek on the cot. A bruise did appear, and we gave her TLC. She was fine shortly after"

Signed, Miss Randa and Miss Melissa

All in a day.....

Caleb, our little man, is such a good big brother. He is always watching out for Ellie, and making sure we know when she is being naughty, too…haha! He loves it when he’s not the one in trouble. We like hearing his stories about all his friends at preschool, what they played with and learned, and who is “his best friend” (this changes often, depending on who wants to play with him that day). He adores his teachers, especially Miss Brianna. Miss Brianna is from the south and has a cute accent and Caleb is picking up on some of her words. For example, he now uses the phrase “fixin’ to” quite often. “Mom, I’m fixin’ to fall down!”, “We’re fixin to go soon”…haha it is hilarious!

(with Great Grandma Dixie)

When my mom came to visit a while back we discovered he really likes escalators. We were at the mall, and he kept begging to go up the “alligator stairs”.

I may have told this story to some of you, but Caleb said the most hilarious thing a while back! I just have to write it down so I won’t forget later. We have been talking a lot about how “God made me” and “God make Ellie, Daddy, etc” and “God made my eyes and my ears and my feet, etc”. So one night the kids were getting ready to take a bath and both were streaking up and down the halls. Suddenly, Caleb bursts into Ellie’s room where I was and had a very concerned look on his face. I said “what’s wrong Caleb?”. He then said, very seriously, “Mom!!! God forgot to make Ellie’s pee-pee!!!!” He was so worried about this so we had to have a quick “boys are different than girls” talk…hahah…hope that topic doesn’t come up again anytime soon!!

Both kids have become very rambunctious lately and love to run, jump, tackle, and play outside. We had a babysitter a few weeks ago and she watched our kids along with their friends Avalie and Emmie, and when I got home I asked the babysitter if they were crazy. She gave a one word answer, “yes!”…haha

Oh, and here's a pic of the "just because" flowers I got at work a few weeks ago: Best.Husband.Ever.

In honor of St. Patty’s day last month, we let the kids listen to a CD of Irish music, and they are obsessed with it. We have to listen to it every time we are in the car (even had to take it to grandma and grandpas last week). They know the words and the songs, and I cannot tell you how funny it is to hear our 3 year old and 1 year old singing Irish songs in the backseat. Caleb told me tonight that he wants to "Go to Dublin and go to the penny store"....

Well, that's all for now, banana bread is coming out of the oven and it smells GOOD!

...lots of love!!!
