3 weeks and counting! Caleb will soon be a big brother!! He likes to go in Ellie's room and climb up the side of her crib (yikes) and look at her butterfly/bug mobile. He calls every bug "A BEEEEE....bzzzzzzz...." and he thinks it is really cool! I think he will be in for a big shock when the baby comes, though, and I am not sure he really understands what is going on :)
He continues to say more words every day~ today he was home with daddy (his FAVORITE person in the world!) and he kept standing at the window and yelling "HAM! HAM!"....Daniel finally figured out that he was saying "Sam", our dog's name. We are slowly deciphering his language and it's really fun to hear his little ideas and thoughts. When you ask him how old he is going to be, he smiles and says "TWO!". Here is a pic:

In late June, we took a little mini family vacation! And who better to share it with than our good friends: George and Jessie (and Avalie and Emmie) and Zach and Anna (and Everett). We took all of the kids to Omaha and visited the Zoo and the Children's Museum. We actually spent SIX HOURS at the zoo, and Caleb had so much fun- he liked seeing all the animals and thought every reptile was a dinosaur (ROOOAAAARRRR!!). He really liked the monkeys, too. There were also some peacocks roaming around, so we had to watch the boys to make sure they didn't chase them down and grab their feathers.

Caleb's favorite part was the Children's museum- a couple of hours of TOTAL sensory overload! When we first got there he was asleep in his stroller..

But we decided to wake him up, and it didn't take him long to start running around and playing:

Maybe his favorite part of the whole trip was the hotel- Caleb figured out how to open the doors and was found several times roaming the hall or outside- yikes! And he loved jumping on the bed, hiding in the closet (and jumping out saying "BOO"), trying to pull the mirror off the wall, and unrolling all the toilet paper.

We spent last weekend in Wichita. I got to see my dear friends and throw a baby shower for Natasha! It was so fun to catch up and shower Natasha with tons of baby girl stuff :)

And Caleb loved seeing Grandma Janet, Grandpa David, Great Grandma, and his uncles.

A few weeks ago, Grandma and Grandpa Linhart discovered that Caleb LOVES the sprinkler. This is so surprising, considering that this is the child who hates to have his hair washed in the bath and was not really a fan of the pool. But, he loves to put his head right under the freezing cold sprinkler- its so funny!!

Last night we faced the heat and went to watch Daniel's softball game. Caleb kept saying "bay-ball!" and he would climb up in the stands and yell "Dadeeeeeee" and "Hi!!!" I got my exercise chasing him around the ball field and up and down the stands :) Who needs a gym when you have a 2 yr old??

We have also had a great time seeing Aunt Lori, who is staying with us for a couple of weeks this summer. She has been such a blessing to us! She actually cooked ME dinner tonight, complete with strawberry shortcake for dessert- does it get any better than that???

This week, I have been spending my evenings washing, folding, and organizing things like this:

Its been fun, but I am ready to meet our little girl :)
