Hey everyone! We are so excited about the beautiful weather- Caleb LOVES being outside, and cannot get enough of his little car and lawnmower- he is really good at mowing the sidewalk and driveway :) He is starting to use more words, and surprises us every now and then with a new one- he saw some fruit in the fridge and said "apple" clear as day- so cute! The thousands of times repeating flash cards has started to pay off. He also recognizes when he sees a baby, and says "bay-beeee". Little does he know, we will have one living with us in about 8 weeks!
We had a great visit with Anna and Everett last weekend- it is so cute to see Caleb and Everett wrestle and play and talk to each other.
Caleb is getting more and more daring and is pushing the limits with us lately- Dan and I are trying to figure out the whole discipline thing, but it has been a little challenging- trial and error I guess! As brave as our little guy is, he has developed some pretty strange fears- for example, he is really afraid of having the window down in the car (even when we are stopped) and he is terrified of elevators. I have to take him to my OB appointments (which are on the 4th floor of the hospital) and every time we get in the elevator, he cries and yells "ALL DONE!!!!!". Needless to say, this does not start us out on the right foot, and by the time we see the doctor it usually results in a meltdown requiring many suckers to get through the appointment. However, he did very well today which was a nice treat :) No suckers needed~
Dan has started back with his masters classes and I have enjoyed a class of my own this summer- cake decorating class! I actually "graduated" last week...haha. Check out my masterpiece:
Check out this picture- Caleb has discovered how to open the fireplace, and he just cant resist touching the log in there. His hands get covered in soot, and do does he, and our off-white couches. We are getting tired of cleaning up the cute little black handprints!!
And, thanks to my amazing girlfriends- I had a really fun girly baby shower to get ready for Ellie!!
Isn't it obvious that Caleb LOVES his daddy more than anyone else??
