Wow...it has been over a month since we posted!!! SORRY! Lots has been going on around the Linhart house and we are staying quite busy! Our little man Caleb is entering into a new stage of being very stubborn and opinionated....but still sweet as can be. He was desperate for a haircut (especially after a few comments about his "adorable mullett" haha...we decided enough was enough) We had tried to go get his haircut but our efforts were thwarted, so we decided to do it ourselves.....we put him in the tub and grabbed the hair clippers and the rest is history...poor Caleb- his first haircut looks pretty wierd, but oh well! Haha...live and learn :) He has learned lots of new tricks. The other day he even locked himself in our bathroom (we had no idea he knew how to turn the lock, but we found out the hard way). So as he played happily with the toilet and cabinets (full of dangerous materials) I frantically unlocked the door by prying the lock with my fingernail...we had a moment of panic, but were lucky that our lock is totally wothless. He also still loves to open the dishwasher, so we have been teaching him to "help" by handing him the silverware and letting him put them in the bin...he gets really proud of himself and claps everytime...so cute! He is saying a few more words, and he knows where his tummy and his hair and his nose is! He really loves to say "nos" and squeeze our nose really hard which is fairly unpleasant for us. He also says his version of "shoes" (sounds more like "shush") which he learned from his flashcards (thanks Grandma Marcia!!!!!) He really loves brushing his teeth, so I hope he keeps up the good hygeine into his teens :) He is playing really well with other kids now, especially with his girlfriend Avalie. They love to run around and pass toys and laugh and laugh! Caleb is a little rough at times (for example, Dan taught him how to tackle so he decided to tackle Avalie one day...) and he definitely lets everyone know what he wants. We taught him to say "up" rather than stand at our legs and cry, but now he says it ALL the time!! Whoops!
In other news, Caleb is going to be a big brother!! We are expecting a new baby in August, about the time C turns 2! I wonder if it will be a brother or sister :)
I am also starting a new job in a couple of weeks at an imaging center~ I think it will be a good fit for our family :)
